Myanmar Airways International (MAI) first A320 arrived at Yangon International Airport (RGN) from Europe on 05 September 2019 (Thu). A celebratory event was held today to commemorate the arrival of this aircraft, which was attended by key Management team from the airlines and members of the media.
MAI will be the only carrier to operate the A320 aircraft type in Myanmar and to ensure optimal passenger comfort and efficiency, the aircraft is configured with 180 seats from Recaro. The A320 Family is the world’s best-selling and most fuel efficient single aisle aircraft family. The A320 provides operators with substantial improvements in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions – as well as reduction at entry into service.
With the aircraft induction, the airlines will continue its focus on network expansion and launch more exciting routes in line with its strategic plan to promote Myanmar as a destination internationally and to ensure air travel becomes more prominent domestically.
